Working with mixed media

As well as using bone china in my mosaics, I love using handmade pottery and glass.  There are so many amazing colours/textures/patterns.  I am very lucky that a number of talented glass artists and potters/ceramists or mud bashers (as I've learned some of them like to be called!), have let me use their beautiful work in my mosaics.

I don't very often pre-plan a design.  I prefer to choose one or two things that inspire me, and then let me design develop around those pieces.  I love all the different styles, textures, colours and patterns that you find in handmade pottery and I really enjoy using the work of these lovely people as inspiration for what I make.

You will see examples of this work in my gallery, and you can click on the images below for more information about the artists.
